How to define plagiarism? Different people have different answers. According to the avoiding plagiarism, Tony T.N. Hung points out that plagiarism means taking someone else’s words or ideas and passing them off as your own. The Cambridge Dictionary says plagiarism means that taking sb.else’s ideas, words, etc and use them as if they were one’s own. I think both meanings are very similar. As a journalism student, I must pay more attention when I am doing my news report and other writings.

I think I can legally post any picture on my blog that I have downloaded from the Internet as long as I credit the source. If I use someone else’s photos from my blog, I usually add a caption under the photo. Such as this is from which website or from some one. Sometimes the photo is my friends’. I should ask my friends to have their permission first. Then I use these photos and also with captions such as photos from some one’s names.
